GetResponse is one of the older email marketing platforms still going, and it now puts AI and landing pages at the front of its pitch. This review covers what the platform offers, what it costs today, what hides behind the free trial, and what you can reasonably expect from Black Friday 2026. Prices were checked on the official pages on October 23, 2026.
In short: for 1,000 contacts, GetResponse shows €16 a month (Starter), €54 (Marketer) or €62 (Creator), with an 18% discount on yearly billing (€13.12, €44.28 and €50.84 a month). Sends are unlimited and the trial lasts 14 days with no credit card. It suits you if you want email, landing pages and automation in one tool. If you only need a simple newsletter on a small budget, Brevo is cheaper. No Black Friday 2026 offer has been announced as of October 23, 2026: the last official reference is 2025, up to 30% off the first year.

What GetResponse is
GetResponse is an email marketing platform built by a Polish company. It started as an autoresponder tool, the automatic email sequences sent after someone signs up, and grew into newsletters, landing pages, signup forms, pop-ups, webinars, web push notifications, a website builder and, more recently, a course creator and paid newsletters. The company claims more than 350,000 customers and lists 170 integrations, including WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce and Zapier.
For a content site, the useful question is not which email tool is best in the abstract. It is whether GetResponse helps you turn readers into subscribers, then into customers. That is the thread of this review.

GetResponse pricing checked on October 23, 2026
GetResponse bills by the size of your contact list, not by the number of emails you send. Sends are unlimited on every plan. The slider on the pricing page offers 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 contacts. The figures below are what the page showed for 1,000 contacts, in euros, to a visitor in France.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly (per month) | Yearly saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | €16 | €13.12 | €35 |
| Marketer | €54 | €44.28 | €117 |
| Creator | €62 | €50.84 | €134 |
| Enterprise | custom | custom | n/a |
Three things to know. First, the amounts are net of local taxes, as the page states below the table. Second, the 18% yearly discount means paying twelve months up front. Third, currency and amounts depend on where you browse from: the FAQ at the bottom of the same page says plans start at $19 a month for 1,000 subscribers, a dollar figure that does not match the euro table shown in Europe. Trust the table your own page displays when you sign up.

Other items on the page: a 50% discount on monthly plans for charities and NGOs, and an Enterprise plan that adds SMS, mobile push notifications, AI product recommendations, transactional email, a dedicated IP and single sign-on.
The 14-day free trial: what you keep afterwards
GetResponse offers 14 days of premium features with no credit card, stated at the top of the pricing page. After that, the vendor’s FAQ is clear: you lose the premium features unless you upgrade, but you can still log in and use the free version, which is limited. Limits it lists:
- a GetResponse badge is added to every message you send, removable only on a paid plan;
- you can publish unlimited landing pages, but visits are capped at 1,000 unique visitors a month, and A/B testing is paid-only;
- you can build automation workflows but not use the dynamic segment filter;
- webinars are limited to 10 people including you;
- you can build courses (up to 250 students) and premium newsletters, but selling them needs a paid plan.
So this is not a permanent free plan like Brevo’s. It is a trial that turns into a restricted account. Start it when you have a real list to import and a real page to publish, not the night before a busy weekend: 14 days go fast.
Want to see the interface first? Signing up takes an email address, no card.
What each plan unlocks
The plan names are slightly misleading: the difference is not email volume, it is what opens up around email. Here is the logic, from the official comparison table.
Starter: build the list
Unlimited sends, AI content generators, a welcome email series, a single automation workflow, landing page builder, signup forms and pop-ups, a free custom domain on the yearly plan and up to 3 users. The AI tools are capped at three uses (email generator, subject lines, landing page creator), which makes them a demo more than a production tool.
Marketer: the plan that automates
This is the page’s “most popular” plan. It adds unlimited workflows, advanced segmentation, abandoned cart recovery, sales funnels, promo codes with revenue reports and unlimited web push notifications, for 5 users. It is the first tier where GetResponse really separates from a plain newsletter tool.
Creator: sell what you know
Creator adds webinars, the website builder, the course creator (up to 500 students) and paid newsletters. It is for people selling training, a subscription or coaching. For an editorial newsletter, it is unnecessary.
Enterprise: custom quote
For large lists and specific needs: SMS, dedicated IP, priority support, single sign-on. Custom pricing, with a 30-day pilot on request according to the vendor.
The AI tools: what they do, and where they stop
GetResponse mentions AI on almost every page. In practice you get: an email generator that produces a full message (text, image, subject) from keywords, an industry, a tone and a design direction; a subject line generator; an AI landing page and website creator; a course creator; and product recommendations on Enterprise. The vendor says the email generator uses OpenAI technology.

Three points before you get excited:
- The 85% figure (“85% faster”) is a statistic from the vendor about its own customers, not an independent measure.
- On Starter, the AI is capped at three uses per tool according to the comparison table. For regular use you need Marketer or higher.
- Multilingual support for the email generator is shown as “coming soon” on the vendor’s French page as of October 23, 2026. If you write in a language other than English, test the output during the trial and plan to review every text.
Our view: GetResponse’s AI is a drafting accelerator, not a writer. It saves time on the structure of a promotional email and on subject lines. For long editorial content, a dedicated writing tool or a general assistant is more useful. If your concern is how the texts you publish perform in search, our comparison of AI SEO tools covers that separately.
Landing pages and forms: the real strength
Where GetResponse is most convincing is the chain capture page, form, welcome email, automation without juggling several tools. The comparison table lists unlimited landing pages on every paid plan, with templates, forms, countdown timers, chat, Google Analytics, Facebook pixel and SEO settings. The vendor’s page says pop-ups have more than 30 trigger rules.

For a content site that lives off its readers, that is useful: a page for a free guide, a form inside articles, a three-email series to welcome new subscribers. WordPress appears in the vendor’s integration list.
Strengths and weaknesses
What works
- Unlimited sends on every plan: the bill does not grow when you write more often.
- One tool for email, landing pages, pop-ups, webinars and, depending on the plan, courses and a site.
- 14-day trial with no card, with premium features.
- 24/7 email support in several languages, according to the vendor’s FAQ.
- An 18% yearly discount shown all year, not just during promotions.
What does not
- Price depends on list size: at 5,000 or 10,000 contacts the bill changes scale. Check your tier before committing.
- Starter is restricted: one workflow, AI capped at three uses.
- No permanent free plan: after 14 days the free version is limited.
- Live chat is English and Polish only, per the FAQ. Email support covers more languages.
- Multilingual AI not live yet according to the vendor’s French page.
GetResponse alternatives: Brevo compared
Brevo is the alternative readers compare most often, and the comparison is more nuanced than “one is cheaper”, because the two vendors price differently. The table below uses both official pages, checked on October 23, 2026. Brevo’s prices are the euro prices it shows to a visitor in France.
| GetResponse | Brevo | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | by contact count, unlimited sends | by volume of emails sent |
| Free offer | 14-day trial, then a limited account | free with no time limit, 300 emails a day |
| Entry plan | €16 a month (€13.12 yearly), 1,000 contacts | €7 a month (€6.33 yearly), from 5,000 emails a month |
| Automation | one workflow on Starter, unlimited from Marketer | included from Standard, €15 a month (€13.50 yearly) |
| Landing pages | unlimited on paid plans | one landing page included in Standard |
| Extras | webinars, courses, paid newsletters, site (by plan) | SMS credits sold separately; WhatsApp, pop-ups and push on Pro (€499 a month) |

How to read it: for a weekly newsletter to a few thousand readers, Brevo costs less and even has a free plan. For a growing list with frequent sends, automation sequences and landing pages, GetResponse becomes easier to reason about: you pay for the size of the list, not for activity. It is a profile choice, not a verdict. We did not price other alternatives, because we only quote what we checked.
Two ways to test, no card needed. GetResponse: 14 days with premium features. Brevo: a free plan at 300 emails a day.
Who GetResponse suits, and who it does not
It is for you if
- you build a list from a site or blog and want capture pages and email sequences in one place;
- you send often and want a cost that does not depend on send volume;
- you sell training, coaching or a paid newsletter (Creator plan);
- you want webinars tied to your email sequences.
It is less suited if
- you only send a monthly newsletter to a few hundred people: free Brevo is plenty;
- you need AI that writes autonomously in a language other than English, a feature the vendor lists as coming soon;
- you want live chat support in your own language if it is not English or Polish.
Black Friday 2026: where GetResponse stands
This is the question people ask when they hesitate. Here is what we know on October 23, 2026, kept apart from what we do not.
Status on October 23, 2026: GetResponse has announced no Black Friday 2026 offer. Its pricing page only shows the 18% yearly discount that exists all year. We will update this section at each phase, with only what the vendor publishes.
Last year’s reference, sourced
GetResponse’s own blog, in its roundup of 2025 Black Friday SaaS deals, listed: up to 30% off all paid plans for the first year, no coupon needed (applied at checkout), valid from November 20 to December 4, 2025. “Up to” is a ceiling, not the discount on every plan, and nothing says 2026 will match.

The calendar in three phases
- Black Friday, until November 23, 2026: nothing announced by GetResponse so far. NordVPN’s offers are already published: see our Black Friday 2026 page for AI writing and SEO tools.
- Black Friday week, November 24 to December 1, 2026: the window where vendors most often open their offers. This section will be completed then, with the offer actually displayed.
- Cyber Monday, December 2 to December 9, 2026: in 2025, GetResponse’s offer ran until December 4. To be completed.
Should you wait to subscribe?
If your need is not urgent, waiting for the week of November 24 is reasonable. A simple trick: the trial lasts 14 days. If you start it around November 10 to 12, you will have tested the tool on your own list just as any offers land, without paying anything. If you are in a hurry, take a monthly plan rather than a yearly one: you can move to yearly later, but the reverse goes through support, according to the FAQ.
One last precaution: the web is full of “GetResponse Black Friday” coupon codes. We quote none. If a promotion exists, it will apply on the vendor’s official page, and that is where to check before paying.
FAQ
Is GetResponse free?
There are 14 days of premium features with no credit card. After that a limited account stays usable (GetResponse badge in messages, landing pages capped at 1,000 unique visitors a month, no dynamic automation). Paid plans start at €16 a month for 1,000 contacts, €13.12 on yearly billing, as checked on October 23, 2026.
How much does GetResponse cost in 2026?
For 1,000 contacts: Starter €16 a month (€13.12 yearly), Marketer €54 (€44.28), Creator €62 (€50.84), Enterprise on quote. The price rises with list size, from 1,000 to 100,000 contacts. US visitors see dollars: the page FAQ mentions plans from $19 a month for 1,000 contacts. Figures checked on the official page on October 23, 2026.
What are the best GetResponse alternatives?
Brevo is the most common one: cheaper at the entry level (€7 a month, free plan at 300 emails a day) but priced by email volume. GetResponse prices by list size with unlimited sends and bundles landing pages, webinars and courses. For a small newsletter pick Brevo; for a growing list with automation and capture pages, GetResponse deserves a trial.
When is GetResponse Black Friday 2026?
No date is announced as of October 23, 2026. In 2025 the official offer (up to 30% off the first year, no coupon) ran from November 20 to December 4. Black Friday falls on Friday, November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30, 2026. This page will be updated with the offer actually displayed.
Is there a GetResponse coupon code?
We know of none published by the vendor for 2026. The 18% yearly discount is shown on the pricing page, without a code. Be wary of sites listing codes with no official source.
Does GetResponse have a free plan?
Not a permanent one in the way Brevo does. You get a 14-day trial with premium features, then a restricted free account. Brevo’s free plan is limited to 300 emails a day but has no time limit.
Does the GetResponse AI work in other languages?
The vendor’s French page lists multilingual support for the email generator as “coming soon” on October 23, 2026. Test it in your language during the trial and review every text before sending.
Can I use GetResponse with WordPress?
Yes, WordPress is among the integrations listed on the pricing page, with Shopify, WooCommerce, Zapier and others. You can also embed forms with code. Check the exact feature you need during the trial.
Want to see your own site with a capture page and three welcome emails? The 14-day trial exists for that.
